Ukrainian cities social initiative

The unicorn agency created visuals to help volunteers raise donations.

This series is the agency’s social initiative which is dedicated to Ukrainian cities that continue to live during wartime, after each day shelling our civil infrastructure by russia. Not all cities were lucky to be restored – and it’s essential to mention cities that can’t (like Bakhmut and Mariupol, which we don’t illustrate here).

Characters that heal and restore these buildings present Ukrainians who breathe a new life and help Ukrainian cities to restore. Instead of depicting people, they followed Maria Primachenko’s path (a Ukrainian artist who reflected on tragic events such as the Chornobyl disaster through the lens of color, folklore creatures, and national patterns).

All Ukrainians continue to believe and fight for a better future despite all the sorrow and destruction brought by Russia to Ukrainian land.

The final goal of this project will be to help Ukrainian volunteers raise donations – they turn these pictures into print material to send exchange postcards and posters for donations.
