Harazd Platform by NBU

Vintage Web Production helped the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) launch the educational platform – Harazd (in English – Alright). Recently, Ukrainians have been able to gain financial literacy knowledge on the Harazd educational platform. In the fall of 2023, the site was presented by the NBU. The agency Vintage worked on developing the resource. The team developed the design, the name and created a project character – a girl named Horpynka, who helps users understand the nuances of economic life.

Research indicates that the level of financial literacy in Ukraine is lower than in Europe. The Harazd platform by the NBU aims to foster positive changes. Harazd is the word Ukrainians use when making a business agreement. The goal is to ensure that they make as few mistakes as possible in the process.

The special character Horpynka helps users acquire knowledge on the site. In creating her, the agency was inspired by the graphics of the prominent Ukrainian artist Heorhiy Narbut – the designer of the UPR karbovanets. On the banknotes of the first national currency, Narbut depicted the profile of a girl, whom people nicknamed Horpynka. Moreover, a hundred years ago, the term «horpynka» became a colloquial term for money in general.

— «Alright, Horpynka! How to protect money from inflation?»

— «Alright, Horpynka! How to choose the best deposit?»

— «Alright, Horpynka! What is a multi-currency basket?»

— «Alright, Horpynka! How to open an account for a child?»
