Mascots singing traditional carols

The Banda agency launched a winter holiday communication campaign for COMFY, Ukraine’s leading chain of home appliances and electronics stores. To celebrate the winter holidays, COMFY’s beloved mascots – Koniachka and Push – dressed in traditional Ukrainian attire and performed traditional carols (shchedrivky). Through this initiative, the company greeted Ukrainians, industry colleagues, and beloved Ukrainian brands with the upcoming holidays while also reviving and celebrating the country’s New Year and Malanka traditions.

The festive video campaign featuring the mascots’ carol performance has already garnered over 400,000 views, with hundreds of positive comments and reposts from users across Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and COMFY’s Telegram channel.

For the New Year celebrations, Banda developed two separate advertising campaigns:

1. A traditional campaign focused on the best gifts and special holiday offers.
2. A festive greeting campaign highlighting Ukraine’s rich winter holiday traditions.

By splitting its key messaging, COMFY managed to showcase both its exclusive deals and the beauty of Ukrainian holiday customs.

To bring the authentic spirit of Ukrainian carols to life, COMFY collaborated with the ethnic music group «Shum’ya», known for its extensive research into Ukrainian folklore, traditional songs, and customs.

The holiday video features traditional carols (shchedrivky) from Kriachkivka village (Pyratyn district) and Bobryk village (Hadiach district) in Poltava region, as well as Podilian shchedrivky from Khmelnytskyi region.
